The Game of Cornhole

Come join the fastest growing tailgating sport in the nation!

Cornhole, also known as corntoss, baggo, soft horseshoes, bean bag toss and many others, is an increasingly popular backyard and tailgating game. There are no  hard facts as to when the game was created, but many believe Ohio was the first state to start playing this game.

It didn't take long until cornhole started popping up all over the mid-west.  Fans of the game would create their own boards and bags and play in their backyards. From there, more and more people caught on expanding it to the game it is today. Now you can find a cornhole tournament in almost every U.S. city.

It wasn't long before companies starting popping up and producing standarized cornhole bags, boards, and sets. Just searching online will help you find several different sites that sell these products as well as accessories like score boards or custom decals. Companies are also producing cornhole bags that are weather resistant. (Using plastic pellets rather than kernel corn). It's not hard anymore to go purchase a set that comes complete with everything you will need.

If you are in the market for getting a cornhole set, here are a few tips you will want to consider:

- Make sure the cornhole bags are regulations size. They
should be made of 100% duck cloth, measure 6"X6", weight
approx. 1lb each, and filled with real kernel corn.

- Cornhole boards should also be regulation size.
  (4' long X 2' wide)

- Cornhole accessories aren't necessary to play, but nice features to
incorporate. You can check out different stores and websites to
see what they have to offer.
